Daughters of Sara: The Power in the Name of Jesus

The Power in the Name of Jesus

I live in a small one bedroom house, My son has long since moved out so it's just me. But I do have several animals (my babies) that I take care of. My husband and I have been separated going on 8 months now and when he left, all the bills fell on my shoulders. At times, it has been a struggle to make it from week to week, but Jesus Christ has provided every time.
When I look back over the past 8 months in every situation when I did not have the money for a bill, I would pray " In Jesus Name" your word says My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and Glory in Christ Jesus.( Philippians 4:19) I can't tell you how many times Jesus supplied my needs for me.One time I called to have my phone cut off because I couldn't pay my bill and the customer rep told me, my bill had already been paid ,by whom, she had no idea. Another month I had a bill due to come out of my checking account for a hundred dollars, and that month they never took it out. Thank you, Jesus
Jesus said : John 14:13"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,that the Father may be glorified in the Son." And Jesus went on to say:
V-14, "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."      V-16, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever."     V-17, "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:  but ye know him; for
he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."
When we pray, Jesus is telling us, He's not only giving us access to his Power, but also the power of the Holy Spirit and God The Father. Because they are three in one. There are three that bear witness, God, The Word (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit.
There is Power in the Name of Jesus.
Power = The English word is derived from the Greek word dunamis,( duvnami) dynamo, translated meaning " dynamite".
Our prayers when brought to Jesus, dynamically work for our good. Because they are not only heard by one, they are heard by three. 1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and Men, the man Christ Jesus.
In Jesus name we have been given that power.
Jesus is the Power behind the prayer.  He is our dynamite.
Sometimes I forget what power Jesus gave me, What Power there is in His name.  When He was scourged, His skin falling from his back in pieces for my sins,  when He wore that crown of thorns that pieced his head, bleeding from the punctures.  When He took that walk to Calvary with the cross layed upon his beaten and battered back, so weak was He, a man called Simon had to finish carrying it for Him, His face unrecognizable from the slaps and punches of the soldiers. And if that wasn't enough pain he endured, He climbed up on that Cross and He had nails driven into his hands and feet. And for 6 hours he hung there suffering, struggling to breathe while people laughed and spat at him.   Isaiah 52:14  Just as many were astonished at you — so was he marred in his appearance, more than any human, and his form beyond that of human semblance.
Jesus endured the cross to give us His power over sin, sickness, depression, poverty and death itself.
.                                       I can not think of what Jesus endured on that day without crying, what he went thru and the pain he suffered for his children, He did it willingly, He knew it was His mission from the Father and He accomplished it.  John 19:30  When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.   He knew what He was to do and he Willingly, Lovingly and Selflessly did it.
The Hebrew word for Power is koach. K- Kaf which stands for blessings  and H-Het which stands for a fence. When you put it together, You are saying,
When you pray in the name of Jesus you are fenced in to a life of His Blessings. WOW!!
Philippians 2:9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name.
God gave Him the Power and the authority to then give to us. John 14: 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Jesus has been given ALL authority and Power, in Heaven and on earth and it is thru His name we are given access to that very same Power. John 28:18 Then Jesus came near and said to them, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
I know every time I needed  help financially, when I prayed in His name a need was met, Somehow, some way my bills have been payed and I and my babies have yet to do without. He has supplied my every need.
When I think of the Cross and what he endured and the death he suffered, I see the love He had to have had to do that and it makes me realize that  had he not died, He never could have Risen. For it is in his Resurrection that begets the Power. For when he died He beat satan ,and took back the keys of death.  Christ is the Victor. And if I am in Christ, it makes me victorious also.
I will never forget what Jesus did on the Cross, What He did for one, He did for all. He died to give us that ( dynamite) Power in His name.  I know first hand what the Name of Jesus can do, and what Power it wields in my life, Do you? It is the name above all names. It makes the blind, see: the crippled, walk: the deaf, to hear. It brings light  where there is darkness. It brings joy in the morning and hope instead of despair. To sum it up The name Jesus, brings LIFE. John 10:10 says, "Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly."
When we pray, we are activating the Power and the Life that he gave us in His Name. He wants nothing more than to bless his children, to give us a life with abundance.
Remember today, that Jesus is waiting to hear your prayers, and to answer them. He loves us and is always ready to intercede on our behalf. If we but call on the Powerful Name of Jesus!!

A Time To Rest

Matthew 11:28-29 “…Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Jesus said it would not be an easy road to follow,. The trails we face as Christians are sometimes very difficult. Life in it self is hard. The problems of this life at times can seem overwhelming. We face hardships in our relationships, in our finances and often times in our health. So where does Resting in the Lord come into our lives, and how can it help us in our daily lives? And why did God mention Resting so many times in his word, if it were not something we were supposed to do? Especially if it was not for our benefit?
Jesus never said for us to do anything, he didn't do himself. He was a living example to us. The kind of Rest that Christ is speaking of is not only Spiritual but also physical. Even our Father in heaven rested.
"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made." (Genesis 2:1-3 KJV)
I have learned that when I am overwhelmed with life's problems, and situations seem out of my control or my health is failing me, that when I but Rest in the Lord, I find  peace. A peace that this world cannot give and does not know. For when I Rest in Him, He is able to take over, And do what I cannot.
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) ~ Unto Him that is able He is to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think.
When we Rest, we surrender ourselves and our situation over to the Lord. We are saying, Lord, I can do nothing without you, But I will Rest in your Word and in your Promises that you will provide my needs and heal my body.
The Hebrew word for rest is raphah meaning relax. Each letter of the Hebrew alphabet has a symbol that represents that letter. R= Resh  which stands for the head, P=Fey which stands for your mouth and the H=Heh which stands for Gods Grace. When you put it together you are saying: If you THINK of Gods Grace and you SPEAK of Gods Grace, then you will find rest in God's Grace. The root word for raphah is rapha, which means heal. You have again the R=resh for your head(thinking)  then P=fey for your mouth ( speaking) then you have Alef= which is a symbol of an ox( a sacrifice) Christ. When you put these together you are Thinking of the The sacrifice Christ made for our sins on the cross,  And You are speaking the Blood of the cross over your life and by doing this God is not only causing you to Rest (raphah) He is bringing healing (rapha)  to your situation, to your circumstances and to your body.
So you see, by relaxing in the Lord,  We not only benefit Spiritually we benefit physically. We are taking it out of our hands and putting it into the Lord's hands. We are Relaxing in the knowledge that the Almighty God is in control of our life and his plans far exceed ours. We are acknowledging His very presence in our life and handing over our situation to him and saying Lord I will Rest while you provide. That my friend is when God can work a miracle in your life. It's when we let go and let God, that he does all the Blessing.
I have learned when I Rest It gives Christ the Glory, He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask, When I but Rest!!
What are you struggling with today? marital problems, financial problems or maybe you have health issues your battling? Well my friend, you've but to Rest in the Lord  and He will bring you to new places. Health to your marriage, Healing to your body and  the Grace of Christ to open the windows of Heaven to bless your finances.
Jesus is our place of Rest from the storms of life. When this life is tossing you around, Remember Thru Him and only Him will we find true Rest. He is our rapha.

A New Season

It's going on 7 months my husband and I have been separated, And In all that time God has never been more present in my life. I have always had a relationship with Jesus, but I guess I never really put God first. I wanted to honor my husband, and in doing so I thought I was honoring God. I wanted to love my husband with all my heart and in doing so I thought I was Loving God,but it took my husband leaving me for me to see that the whole time I was putting God on the back burner. I was serving God, but putting my husband first.
God himself spoke these words, Exodus 20:2 You shall have no other gods before me. God is a jealous God. Yes I was to love my husband and honor him, but I had it backwards.
I thought when my husband left I would break into a thousand pieces, yet every morning I woke up the Lord was with me, giving me peace. Psalms 30:4 Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
I couldn't understand what good could come out of my divorce. I had tryed with my whole heart to make my marriage work, but it had failed, I had failed. I felt I had failed God. My covenant with him was broken. But God in His infinite wisdom took my brokenness and made me whole. Romans 8:28 For we know all things work together for good to those who love God,to those who are called according to his purpose.
God has renewed my spirit man, He has brought me into a new season. He has refreshed me. Psalms 34:8-10 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
The Lord has not only become my best friend whom I talk to thru out my day, He is my Father whom I can cry with and I know that he hurts with me, but He has also become my husband who provides for me and loves me. Philippians 4:19 And  my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus. And let me say God is Rich!!! I  have not wanted for anything since my husband left. Every bill has been paid and God has given me enough for my cup to run over. He is not a God of just enough, He is a God of More than enough.
I have always heard people say to guard your heart, And up until these last several months have I started to understand why. Proverbs 4:23 Above all else guard your heart, because from it flow the springs of life. Jesus said He came to give us life and life more abundantly. Our hearts belong to Jesus, For He is the life that beats in our hearts. I made the mistake and gave my heart to my husband when it rightfully belonged to Christ. When we honor Jesus, when we love him first, out of that love we have for him,and the love he gives us, We learn how to love others. It is only by loving God first can we truly know how to love others.  For there is no greater love than the love of God our Father in Heaven.
I was not wrong for loving my husband, I was wrong for putting him before God. My husband was not going to stand beside me on judgement day and make excuses for me. I have an account all my own I have to answer for, before God. No one is going to get me to heaven but me, and what I do here on earth to make a difference for the Kingdom of Heaven.
God has brought me into a new place in my life, I read his word daily.I pray.  I go to sleep talking to him and I wake up with joy in my heart. And sometimes in the middle of the night I awaken to him talking to me in my dreams. He has become first in my life, God has changed my Heart.  Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presense of the Lord. Many people think that repent means to ask for forgiveness, the greek meaning for repent is Metanoeo, which means to change your mind. It means to change your mind about sin and turn to Christ. Decide to stop that sin and follow Jesus, and he will blott out your sins and refresh you. Who doesn't need refreshing?  That is only one of many promises God gives us in His word. After all He is a God of Promises.
He has refreshed me, I changed my mind and made him first in my life and He is more than honoring his word, He is making me a new creation in him. I have looked my whole life for a man to love me, when the whole time my Father in Heaven waited for me to turn to him. And no man has ever loved me like God loves me!!! No man has ever compared to the love I'v felt from the Lord. What no man could ever fullfill in me, God did and is continully doing.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season , A time for every purpose under Heaven.
God has a season for everything, and in that certain season, He has a purpose.  His purpose was to show me how much he loved me and if I would only put him first, thru his love and grace I could love others.
I have learned to want His will in my life, for His will far exceeds mine. So now I anxiously await for him to bring me into His next purpose for my life and my next season. Thank you Jesus for loving me enough to teach me and to guide me closer to you.
Jesus loves you and has a purpose and a season set for your life,
Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you: seek and you will find: knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks recieves, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Our Father in Heaven is waiting on you. I ask YOU, what are you waiting on? He offers grace, forgiveness and hope and the promise of eternity in Heaven. And a Love Only God can give.  No other love surpasses it.
                                                            I am a living testimony!

We Are Chosen!

God blessed me to be the mother of one son, Today he is 24 with children of his own. God chose me as his mother for a purpose. We are to raise our children up to know and love the Lord. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Jordon is his name, and he has not always walked with the Lord. He walked away from God, and thought he could live a life pleasing to himself. And believe me, he tryed. He got into the world and the world had nothing to offer him. Oh, at the time he thought he was happy, this flesh we have is very deceiving. But at times he would call crying, wondering what was missing in his life and why he felt as if he had a hole in his heart. I would like all the other times tell him it was Jesus he was missing, but he'd brush me off.
What my son didn't know at those times, was that he had a praying mother. I knew God had chosen me for a reason, God has a purpose in everything he does. So the more trouble he got into, the more praying I did. For several years I saw no results from my prayer life. But I always stood firm on God's word 1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask ,we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
I have prayed and believed that one day God would bring my son back to the family of Christ. It has not always been easy, but God says his word does not come back void. Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I have not had to see, to know, that God was doing a work in my son's heart. Only because I did not stop praying for him. We as mothers are not only chosen to raise our children until they reach 18, we are responsible for the Christians they become.
Sometimes what we think is the worst possible thing that can happen to our children,God turns into the best thing. He can turn a trail into a triumph. We tend to learn the most when we're in the fire. That is when God is able to mold us into what he wants us to be.
It has been several years since I started praying for my son and I can say with confidence, that my Father in heaven heard every one of them. My son is now walking with the Lord. It has not been an easy journey for him, he has made alot of mistakes. But he, thru the forgiveness of Christ will be a stronger witness to others for it.  He is now reading God's word and sending me bible studies to do. God is moving mightily in his life. His heart no longer has holes, Jesus has filled them. Praise God!
God is faithful!! He hears our prayers .Are you praying for your child today? Because God hears and he answers. I was chosen to be a mother, And so where you. Be the prayer warrior your child needs.

We are called to Glory!

I am an ordinary woman of 43, I am a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a wife and in the word of God I am called A Daughter of Sara.
1 peter 3:6 As Sara obeyed abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good  and are not afraid with any amazement.
Sara was Faithful to God, she was humble in spirit. God promised her a child by an Angel and she laughed, but yet still in her heart believed God would do what he said. God changed her name from Sarai ( which means in Hebrew- The hand that leads God.) to Sara which means in Hebrew- God's the leader of  Grace. In God's infinite wisdom He replaced her efforts  and gave her HIS Grace, and in her old age she was able to concieve Isaac. She didn't have to do anything from that piont on,but Believe. Having Faith God would do what he said he would do.
Hebrews 11:11 By faith Sara herself also recieved strength to concieve seed  and she bore a child when she was past the age , because she judged him faithful who had promised.
You see, we are all called to be daughters of Sara. God gives everyone of us a measure of faith.  Sara was counted righteous in the sight of God because of her faith.

We are hiers to her promises. We are hiers thru Christ.
Be determined today to be a Sara, not a Sarai. Let the Grace of God lead you in your walk with Christ. Don't let your hand ( Sarai) (flesh-self) lead you to distruction. Be an example to others, Show them what being a True Daughter of Sara is. Walk in the Faith and Righteousness that honors our Father in heaven.   For Jesus said his Grace is sufficient. His Grace was more than enough for Sara, and it is more than enough for you! Be what you want to see. Be a SARA!!
