Daughters of Sara: The Measure Of Christ's Love!

Daughters of Sara: The Measure Of Christ's Love!:    When someone asks you the question " How much do you love me?" This reply comes easy to most people, " I love you...

The Measure Of Christ's Love!

When someone asks you the question " How much do you love me?" This reply comes easy to most people, " I love you a lot." But tell me, How far do words go? With their words can you feel their love?   The situation changes when someone shows you their Love in Action, That's when you see their Love. That's when you know they love you. Words are empty, if they're not backed up with  action.  Once they've shown you their Love, You've tasted of it, you know it's real, you know,  how good it feels, you've seen what they've done  and given up, to Love you. So when you ask:

" How much do you Love Me?"

                                                        Matthew 27:26-31
Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him. They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said. They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again. After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

                                                              Isaiah 53:4-12

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

                                                                Isaiah 54:14
Just as many were astonished at you — so was he marred in his appearance, more than any human, and his form beyond that of human semblance.

Love is knowing the excruciating pain that is to come, and going thru with it any way.   In the last few hours of Jesus's life, What did He endure and suffer on the cross for us, to show us His love?

EXCRUCIATE: to cause great agony, torment

Latin: ex: out of,  from cruciate, : cross

                                                                     " From the Cross"

The word excruciate, ( the root word excruciating) which refers to something that causes great agony or torment.  The Latin roots of the word are : " ex" meaning from or out of, and " cruciate", meaning cross. The word excruciate comes from the Latin for "from, or out of, the cross"

Love Personified is Christ on the Cross, for everyone!

Before He gave his Life on the cross, to bear our sins,  He did two things.

1)
 Luke 22:7-23

When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table.  And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.  For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”  After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you.  For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”  And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”  In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Jesus gave us a New Covenant (promise) with the shedding of His blood. He replaced the law with His Grace.  Moses gave us the Law, The Old Covenant. With the blood of bulls and goats. Which could only cover a persons sins for a year.  But Jesus on the cross brought us Grace. His blood covers once for all. We are now covered in HIS righteousness. He writes His Laws on our hearts. and we become new creations in Christ, old things have past away, all things become new.

Hebrews 10:10   It is through that divine will that we have been set free from sin, through the offering of Jesus Christ as our sacrifice once for all.

In an act of the Greatest Love Ever,  In Jesus' death, God's redemptive  plan for all man is effected, the New Covenant promised and the Kingdom established.

2)
  Luke 22:39-44

And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.  And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.  And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

After His last supper, Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane, to pray.
                                                 Gethsemane means: oil press
Olive oil represents the Holy Spirit

In the garden Jesus decided to fully embrace the cross, but it was only when He told the Father " Not my will be done, but yours" that the victory over sin was won.

The sweating of drops of blood, gives us a hint of the stress and the agony Jesus was going thru and the cross that lay ahead.  It reminds us of the cost of God's Love for us.  The Father was willing to give His Son, and His Son was willing  to pay the complete price for our redemption.

Jesus knew what it would cost Him,  being falsely accused, being slapped and punched, He was ridiculed, laughed at and falsely judged. He was flogged to the point that He had barely any skin left on His bones, much less any blood left in His body. He was made to walk to His death, all the while people spat on Him, calling Him vile names. He then was nailed to a cross for 6 hours, trying with all His might just to breathe. And in the mist of all His suffering, still the people tormented and taunted Him. And if ALL of that was not enough, His Father turned His face from Him.
Jesus took on the sins of the world and God cannot look at sin, so God looked away. Jesus cried out " Father, Father why hast thou forsaken me?"  For God did not forsake His Son, He could not look at the sin His Son was carrying for the world. For you and me.

                                                                      BUT.......
The good news is: Jesus beat sin and death, because of His Love for us. He rose from the grave and now sits at the right hand of God. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! His Love was the final say in the matter.

Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden and brought death to the world. ( Curse)    BUT,
Jesus, thru prayer and obedience, in the Garden of Gethsemane brought victory and life everlasting. ( Blessing)

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

The word Love which is used so freely in English, has a very special meaning in Hebrew.
The Hebrew word for Love is: Ahavah.  It's three parts to the word, The first letter is Alef = which is the symbol of a sacrifice, Christ on the Cross.  Then you put together the two letters and you get Av, the meaning of the two letter base is = To Give. The last of the three part word is Heh= which means God's Grace.

When you put it all together.

LOVE is sacrificing your wants and desires and giving to others in the grace that Christ sacrificed and gave to us.

LOVE IS GIVING,  LOVE IS BEING A BLESSING TO OTHERS AND LOVE IS FORGIVENESS.

Jesus said for us to love God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. He said this is the first, the second like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. ( Mark 12:28-31)

Loving God with all your heart, soul , mind and strength, fills you with a love that is over flowing. You can't help but go out and share that same kind of love with others. There is no other love that compares to the Love of our Savior.

                                                         So I'll say again,

HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE ME?

                                                 Honor Christ by Loving Others!

IT WAS THE MEASURE OF CHRIST'S LOVE!

A Fight To The Death

'We being Christians have been given choices. We can go thru this life victorious or we can go thru life defeated. We can be conquerors, or we can be slaves to sin.
There are so many things in this life that satan uses to try and discourage us, to pull us away from our God given birthright. We have been made joint heirs  with Christ. We are sons and daughters of The Living God.
Satan comes at us at full force, But what he fails to realize, is he's already lost the battle a long time ago. He's shooting with blanks and he doesn't even know it. Luke 10: 19: “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”  When Jesus died on the cross and conquered death, He took ALL power from him and gave it to us. Jesus gave us the most powerful weapon needed to defeat satan  and all his little demons. And that weapon is His Word. Jesus is the greatest example there is, that His word works. Matthew 4:1-10  Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’
Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.
If it worked  for the Son of God, How much more do you think it will work for us, His adopted children, whom He loves? Our God who sent His Son to die for us? For our sins, to ensure us eternal life with Him?
We are in the most important battle of our lives. Ephesians 6:12  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
It is a battle for our Spirit. Heaven or Hell.  And God equipped us with what we need to win the battle,  1 Peter 1:13  Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the Word. And Jesus used His Word to defeat satan. The Greek word for tempted is tested. We Christians are being tested daily by the devil.  We have choices to give in or to resist the temptations and pleasures of this very temporary world. If we truly belong to God, then this world is not our home, we are merely passing thru.  John 17:14  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

This world and the pleasures in it are temporary, BUT God is eternal. 2Corinthains 5:1  For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

I am a living testimony that God's word works. It guards my mind, when satan  tries to tempt me with worldly pleasures. It encourages me when the worries of this life try and drag me down. It strengthens my Faith that thru Christ I am more than a Conqueror. It enables me to be bold in spreading Christ's love to others. Gods word shows me, He knew me and loved me before the foundations of the world and that He has a plan and a purpose laid out for me. And above all it strengthens and edifies the Holy Spirit with in me.
We can't win a war without the right weapon. The Word of God is that weapon. But it doesn't work sitting in a drawer or on your coffee table. We have to use it, for it to apply to our lives. In Psalms 119, King David wrote " Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" To me, the sum of God's word is' Truth '.  Jesus said " He is the Way the Truth and the Life.
If we apply God's Word to our daily lives, we CAN and WILL be more than conquerors.  God cannot lie, His word says so. He is a God of Covenants (Promises).  He is a God of Blessings. He is the God of Abraham. And thru Abraham we are  made heirs to his promise.  Acts 3: 25-26   Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
You see, Jesus IS the Word John 1:1-4   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.   He was in the beginning with God.   All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.   In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
He is also the Truth.  John 1: 12-14  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Jesus left His Word for us to know Him. From cover to cover, The Bible points to the risen Savior. If you want to get to know someone personally, You either read their biography or you sit down and talk to them. With Jesus, you get to do both.  His Word leads us to health, to blessings, to Holiness, to Righteousness, to Unmerited Favor, to Grace and to Victory over the devil.   Luke 11:28 "But he said, Yea rather, blessed [are] they that hear
the word of God, and keep it.

My friend, we are in the fight of our lives. Who do you want to take into battle with you? Someone that is defeated themselves? Or do you want to take someone who has beat death and taken back the keys of hell?  You see,  Christ has Risen and He left us His hand book.    Hebrews 4:12 " For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
.
We CAN win this battle, if we but use the weapon God gave us.
We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. Lets fight for the Kingdom of God. The best battle plans are spent in PRAYER....and in getting to know your battle partner.

                                                 THE LIVING WORD- JESUS CHRIST

Daughters of Sara: A God Of Grace

Daughters of Sara: A God Of Grace: My last blog I wrote, was about a month ago, It was titled Wait on the Lord. I was going thru some financial difficulties. Well...

    A God Of Grace

My last blog I wrote, was about a month ago, It was titled Wait on the Lord. I was going thru some financial difficulties. Well, this blog will be a Testimonial on how The Blessings of God will flow thru your life if you will but Wait on the Lord.

We as Christians are given many opportunities to strengthen our Faith in Christ. With our jobs, with our bills, with people, with life itself. Jesus never promised us this life would be easy.  John 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
When my hours went down at work, and my bills were piling up, I was given an opportunity. An opportunity to exercise my Faith. Was I going to believe what the world says?, What people say? Or was I going to stand on the Word of God and what He says?  Wait on the Lord!!
Let me tell you, God's Word works!!!
I chose to stand on the Word of God and put my Faith in Christ Jesus. And Faith will move mountains. Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance
of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I didn't know where the money was going to come from, But I was believing God, that He had a plan far better than mine. A job lined up that I just couldn't see.  I had to have Faith that He was totally in control of the situation, and He, in His infinite wisdom Had my steps ordered.  A job was on the way, I just couldn't see it yet. You see my friend, I was Waiting and Resting in the Lord. The greatest Blessings come when you are focusing on God and not on your problems.
The Hebrew word for Bless is Barak. If you break the word down, Bara means: son. As in Jesus Christ. Kaf = stands for cuff of the hand. God instructed the Priests, that with their hand in a form of a C with anointed oil to Bless the Israelites after their sacrifice. When you put it together It is saying Jesus is the hand that blesses us. Bless,  you see is the noun. The object itself.  But, Blessings.... Well that's the verb. That's where the action comes in. The Hebrew word for Blessing is Barakah.  Bara= Jesus's hand that does the  blessing, And Heh= which stands for God's Grace. Well, When we put it together it is saying; Jesus is reaching out His hand to Bless us with His Grace. WOW!! Who doesn't want God's Grace?  That is the Love of our Father in Heaven. Just as He gave us His only Son, Thru His Son Jesus Christ, He gives us His Grace.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
I knew I didn't see a job, and my bills were waiting. But I also knew I have a God that owns the cattle on a thousand hills. I have a very rich Father in Heaven, and I believed He would supply my needs according to His riches, so I waited for God's Blessings. You see I've learned, God's not only a God of His Word, He's a God of His Promises. I didn't know when I'd get a job, I just KNEW I would.
Hebrews 11:6     But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
I got a call about 3 weeks ago about cleaning a ladies house, I started cleaning her house and in the process I've been able to witness to her and her son. Praise the Lord. Thru that job, She referred me to another client. Now I'm cleaning His business along with hers. And He now is wanting to refer me to His friends. My bills are being paid with money left over, You see that's the kind of God we serve. He not only got me one job, He's given me many, how many is yet to be determined.
He's given me more Blessings than I could have imagined, or hoped for. He's poured out His Grace on me. Not because I deserved it, But because He is Faith full, because He loves His children.
So I ask you today, What are you asking and believing in, that your Father in Heaven is waiting to Bless you with? He loves you and wants nothing more than to Bless you with His Grace. His Word is Truth and full of Promises. It's up to you to stand on His word and have Faith He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
I know His Word works, His Promises are true. I am a testimony!!
Thank you Jesus for my jobs and for the people you put in my path. May your Truth shine thru me. Thank you for letting your Grace be sufficient for each day.

                                                                   Matthew 6: 25-34
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

He is a God of more than enough. He knew my needs. And He not  only met them, He filled my cup to over flowing!! That's the way God works. He could have sent any of the Angels to die on the cross for us, But He sent His only begotten Son. His very best to do His will. Thru Jesus Christ we get Grace, unmerited favor.
It is not Grace for the month, it's not even Grace for the week, It's Grace for each day. Just as God provided manna for the Israelites every day, so Jesus provides His Grace to us Daily.  You see God is full of Grace. Even His Blessings are full of Grace.

Trust in God, In His Word for He will supply your needs.

                                                                      DAILY!!!

You see, God knew my needs and He blessed me above and beyond my thoughts or desires. And the crazy thing is, He's still Blessing me. More jobs are coming, the more I have Faith in Him. I prayed for A job, and He is Blessing me with MANY jobs.      But that is the God we serve!!  AMEN
